With the release of Receiver 11.6 I can no longer map specific folders or drives in receiver for mac. This is a vital feature and I had hoped this was a mistake that would be corrected in 11.7. Now the only options are regarding read/write access.
To obtain this information, launch the app on the server that sends the Citrix plug-in to your Mac, then click Citrix Online Plug-In at the top in your menu bar, then choose About. The version should be displayed here. CItrix, Is there a more direct route to access shared files on a mac without using the destop application? This is available for PC but dont see anything online for mac users. This would be useful so that third party applications could access the files directly like having a mapped shared drive on a PC.
My former mapped drives are no longer present and I have yet to find a way to map them in this release. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? How can I map folder/drives in 11.7? The documentation for 11.7 is useless. Attached are screen shots from 11.5 and 11.7 for reference. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Nick. I also noticed that granular control of the drive mappings was removed with the latest Receiver versions. In past versions, these preferences were stored in the Library Application Support Citrix Receiver Config file in the WFClient section. The entries look similar to this: DrivePathQ=/mypath/myfolder DriveEnabledQ=Yes DriveReadAccessQ=0 DriveWriteAccessQ=0 However, my testing shows these values are ignored by the current 11.7 Receiver. I can script or manually map a drive letter inside the remote session using the client c$ syntax. But it only seems to work for the root location. If you specify any sub-folder in the path, it fails with an error.
On the plus side, our XenApp 6.5 environment automatically detects any local Mac drives and creates an entry in the 'Other' section of Windows Explorer named Local Disk (C: on Mac). It also creates one with an H: label for the Mac home folder. My best workaround has been to use the Favorites feature to create shortcuts to frequently accessed locations.
This article contains information about how to configure NetScaler Gateway EPA to scan the Media Access Control (MAC) address to authenticate the IP address of the user. Background When authenticating the (MAC address of an internet user against predefined combinations of MAC addresses and IP addresses, the network-based MAC address scan fails.
This is because the network traffic from the internet does not contain the actual MAC address of the user. The MAC address available with the network traffic is that of a gateway or an intermediate appliance. Therefore, to scan the MAC address from the computer of the user, registry-based scan or a Client Security scan must be performed.
